Present.

Mayor Carnicelli asked for Council’s consent to add item 8B to the agenda.  All agreed.

Work Session

CDBG – 2003-04 Draft Action Plan – Jim Galvin, Senior Planner presented an overview of the draft action plan.  Mayor Carnicelli and Councilor Hunter discussed and asked several questions.  

Update on Genesee Street Reconstruction – An Engineer representing C&S Company presented Council with at status report of the project to date and future time line for both East and West Genesee St. reconstruction.

Financial Update – John Salomone, City Manager reviewed the Financial Update for the six months ending 12/31/2002.

Other Business
Appointment Resolution #27 of 2003 authorizing appointments to the Auburn Industrial Development Authority.  Vote: Councilor Jacobs voted no, Councilors McNabb, Dempsey, Hunter and Mayor Carnicelli voted yes.  PASSED.

Council Resolution # 28 of 2003 authorizing the Mayor to execute Addendum #2 of the November 1997 Agreement extending City Court lease and incorporating parking arrangement.  Vote:  Councilor Jacobs, McNabb, Hunter and Dempsey, vote yes.  PASSED.

Mayor Carnicelli reported that she has received numerous calls regarding the Animal Nuisance committee and asked Councilor McNabb to report to council as soon as he has an update on committee activity.

Mayor Carnicelli reported that she is also getting many calls from citizens that are confused by the article recently printed in the Citizen regarding naming the Arterial after Harriet Tubman.  Mayor Carnicelli commented on a letter she sent to Senator Nozzolio inquiring on the process.  She stated she would not want to see people have to change addresses.  
 
Public to be Heard
Tom Lennox, Rockefeller Rd. spoke to Council to announce the upcoming “crow shoot” that he and a friend are organizing.  He asked for the city’s financial support.

Joe Sarnicola, Auburn spoke to Council to denounce the crow shoot.
